Refund Policy
A student has five (5) calendar days after signing an enrollment agreement to cancel enrollment and receive a full refund of all monies paid to the institution under that enrollment agreement. This refund does not include monies paid to third parties for textbooks or resource charges. To cancel enrollment from a program of study, email academics@rockbridge.edu.

A student has until the seventh day a course opens in the given term to drop a course and receive a full refund for the tuition payment made. To drop a course a student should email academics@rockbridge.edu.

Tuition will be refunded as determined by the appropriate refund schedule below based on the tuition payment made and the sent date of the email request to drop a course. Any money due a student is refunded to the payment source within 30 days of a final determination of the date of withdrawal.

You may withdraw from your program at any time without any additional financial obligation. Please notify academics@rockbridge.edu of your intent to withdraw from the seminary.

If tuition is eligible for a refund, it will be refunded within (30) days. The unpaid portion, if any, from the student will not be referred to a collection agency.

Example 1: Student pays $435 in full tuition for a course, drops the course during Week 2, and receives a refund of $348 (80%) for the full tuition paid.

Refund Examples (for students who are current on their installment plan):

Example 1: A student withdraws during Week 1 after paying the first installment of $145. The student is owed a refund of $145. ($435 x 0% retained = $0 – $145 paid = $145 refund.)

Example 2: A student withdraws during Week 4 after making two payments of $145 each. The student is owed a refund of $29. ($435 x 60% retained = $261 – $290 paid = $29 refund.)

Master of Ministry Leadership (MML) Installment Payments Tuition Refund Schedule

Refund Examples (for students who are current on their installment plan):

Example 1: A student withdraws during Week 1 after paying the first installment of $332. The student is owed a refund of $332. ($996 x 0% retained = $0 – $332 paid = $332 refund.)

Example 2: A student withdraws during Week 4 after making two payments of $332 each. The student is owed a refund of $67. ($996 x 60% retained = $598 – $664 paid = $67 refund.)

Doctoral Course Refund Schedule: 8 -Week Course
Tuition: $303 (1 credit hour) -Full Tuition Paid at Registration 
If you withdraw from your DMIN course, the following refund schedule applies. Refunds are made to the source of payment and rounded to a whole dollar amount based on the tuition amount paid. A week begins on a Tuesday and ends the following Monday.

Example 1: Student pays $303 in full tuition for the course, drops the course during Week 2, and receives a refund of $243 (80%) from the full tuition paid.

Doctoral Seminar Refund Schedule: 16 -Week Seminar

If you withdraw from your seminar, the following refund schedule applies. Refunds are made to the source of payment and rounded to a whole dollar amount based on the tuition amount paid. A week begins on a Tuesday and ends the following Monday.

Example 1: Student pays $1,818 in full tuition for a seminar, drops the seminar during Week 2, and receives a refund of $1,455 (80%) from the full tuition paid.

Doctoral Applied Research Project Refund Schedule ($1,515 for this course)

If you withdraw from your Applied Research Project, the following refund schedule applies. Refunds are made to the source of payment and rounded to a whole dollar amount based on the tuition amount paid. A week begins on a Tuesday and ends the following Monday.

Refund Examples:
Example 1: Student pays $1,515 in full tuition for the Capstone Project, drops the project during Week 2 and receives a refund of $1,212 (80%) from the full tuition paid.

Example 2: Student pays $1,515 in full tuition for the Capstone Project, drops the project during Week 6, and receives a refund of $606 (40%) from the full tuition paid.

Doctoral Seminar Installment Refund Schedule: 16 -Week Course, 6 credit hours
Tuition: $1,818 (3 Installments of $606 each)
If you withdraw from your DMIN seminar, the following refund schedule applies. Refunds are made to the source of payment and rounded to a whole dollar amount based on the tuition amount paid. A week begins on a Tuesday and ends the following Monday.

Refund Examples (for students who are current on their installment plan):
Example 1: A student withdraws during Week 2 after paying the first installment of $606. The student is owed a refund of $243. ($1818 x 20% retained = $363 – $606 paid = $243 refund.)

Example 2: A student withdraws during Week 7 after making three payments of $606 each. The student is owed a refund of $546. ($1818 x 70% retained = $1272 – $1818 paid = $546 refund.)

Doctoral Applied Research Project (Capstone): 5 credit hours
Tuition: $1,515 (3 Installments of $505 each)
If you withdraw from your DMIN Applied Research Project, the following refund schedule applies. Refunds are made to the source of payment and rounded to a whole dollar amount based on the tuition amount paid. A week begins on a Tuesday and ends the following Monday.

Refund Examples (for students who are current on their installment plan):
Example 1: A student withdraws during Week 2 after paying the first installment of $505. The student is owed a refund of $202. ($1515 x 20% retained = $303 – $505 paid = $202 refund.)

Example 2: A student withdraws during Week 7 after making three payments of $505 each. The student is owed a refund of $455. ($1515 x 70% retained = $1061 – $1515 paid = $455 refund.)

Financial Assistance
Rockbridge Seminary does not participate in Title IV federal aid assistance, nor are there any scholarship programs or tuition discounts available at this time.

 The total cost does not include textbooks, resources or program extension charge (doctoral program only).

Transfer of Credits from Another Institution

Academic credits earned at another institution and accepted for transfer by Rockbridge International Seminary will reduce total program cost. See the Transfer of Credit from Another Institution section of the Catalog for transfer credit standards.
